There is no better way of presenting to the public what it must have been like than by true living history conditions!

In addition to static displays of vehicles and equipment; Blandford Boys are able to provide a 'working' diahrama of a front line field signals office in combat conditions.  This being by means of digging in or utilising scrub and woodland for best effect.  As it would have been orginally. 

Members of the public are then provided with a walk through snapshot of 'history in action' and are able to get right up close to the display.  Blandford Boys does not use barriers or rope to prevent the public from entering.  Instead we take the view that the public should be able to get as close as possible to the office so as to truely be a part of living history.

This method of display has proved extremely successful with members of the public leaving the stand having gained a unique and un-hindered experience of ' history in action '.

Whilst walking through the stand, members of the public will see the signals office in operational conditions.  This may be operating the sets, monitoring the nets, undertaking maintenance of equipment, 'brewing up' or indeed standing too.  Whatever the time of day ... Blandford Boys will be operating the office in accordance with the operational proceedures of the time.
